Grodan® Stonewool Delta 2" Mini-Blocks™

MM 50/40 6/15, 24 per Strip - Case of 60 Strips

Mini-Blocks™ sit in a tray (flat) without support for easy starting of seeds and cuttings. These Mini-Blocks are individually wrapped in white plastic to minimize algae growth. For best results put them on the flat side of the GRO-SMART Tray to ensure good airflow around the cubes. The variation in small and large pores throughout the block ensures that the roots are always supplied with sufficient air and water. In addition, the water content of the block can be controlled with great precision.

The efficient pattern of the pores ensures that water and nutrients are distributed uniformly throughout the block, thereby offering excellent control over both the nutrient solution and the pH. This promotes the development of a strong root system during propagation. The uniform distribution and vertical structure of the fibres results in the same resistance for each root, thereby ensuring that the roots distribute themselves uniformly throughout the block.

Remove wrapping and transplant into any loose media such as Grow-Cubes or coconut fiber or leave wrapping on and set on top of a larger Gro-Block . Packed in easy tear-away strips, labeled with instructions.

What is Rockwool?

Grodan Stonewool (rockwool) is made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-like fibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. Where other rockwool brand manufacturers cut all sizes from one batch of wool, Grodan is unique by making different types of fibers. The purpose is to support the requirement of the plant in the different plant stages. Grodan has a tremendous capacity for absorbing nutrient solution while retaining plenty of oxygen for rapid plant growth. Grodan comes in graduated sizes. Seedlings started in cubes are easily transferred to blocks and then onto slabs, if desired. Seedlings or cuttings started in the Grodan cubes can also be transplanted into more traditional planters and growing mediums.
